In this statement he speaks of how man has to look beyond himself in order to get a true meaning of the world. If you are trapped inside this little box and don't see what is there and your blind to what is true you truly don't understand. Once you open your eyes and look at the world as a whole and all its different situation you will see the true mean of the world we live in.
